How to get Monitisation on youtube
To monetize your YouTube channel and start earning money, you need to meet certain requirements and follow these steps:
Create a YouTube channel: Sign in to YouTube using your Google account. If you don't have a Google account, create one first.
Meet the eligibility requirements: To monetize your channel, you need to meet YouTube's monetization requirements. As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, these requirements were:
- Your channel must have at least 1,000 subscribers.
- Your channel must have at least 4,000 watch hours in the past 12 months.
- You must comply with all YouTube's policies and guidelines.
Enable monetization: Once you meet the eligibility criteria, follow these steps to enable monetization:
- Sign in to your YouTube account.
- Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner and select "YouTube Studio."
- In YouTube Studio, click on "Monetization" in the left sidebar.
- Follow the instructions and agree to the terms and conditions.
- Set up an AdSense account or connect an existing one to your YouTube channel.
Create and upload content: Start creating high-quality videos that adhere to YouTube's policies and community guidelines. Consistently upload content that resonates with your target audience to grow your subscriber base and watch hours.
Ad formats and other monetization options: YouTube offers different ad formats, such as display ads, overlay ads, skippable video ads, and more. You can choose the types of ads you want to display on your videos.
Promote your content: Utilize social media platforms, collaborate with other creators, engage with your audience, and optimize your video titles, descriptions, and tags to increase your video's visibility and attract more viewers.
Monitor your analytics: Regularly check your YouTube Analytics to gain insights into your channel's performance, audience demographics, watch time, and revenue. This information can help you refine your content strategy and make data-driven decisions
